Original mexican burritos

The burritos mexicano are filled and then rolled wheat tortillas that are doused with a sauce or topped with cheese after rolling. They come from the Mexican cuisine and have their origin in the north of Mexico.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Tortillas wheat
  • 200 gram Ground beef
  • 1 can corn small
  • 1 can kidney beans small
  • 200 gram crème fraîche Sour cream
  • ½ can tomatoes chopped
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Bell pepper green
  • 1 lettuce heart (Mini romana)
  • 100 gram Cheddar cheese grated
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • Olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Chop the lettuce, peppers and onion.
  • Sauté the ground beef with the onion and bell bell pepper together with a little oil.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes, kidney beans and corn to the meat and simmer gently until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  • Season with salt and cayenne pepper.
  • Spread a tablespoon of crème fraîche on the wheat tortilla.
  • Spread the ground beef with the tomatoes, corn and kidney beans in the center of the tortilla.
  • Sprinkle some cheddar in the center of the tortilla.
  • Fold the tortilla and place on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the tortilla rolls with cheddar cheese and bake in a baking dish or tray in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese has melted.
  • Cut tortillas in half to serve.
